Hi there, I'm Sarah Mitchell, the cook, recipe tester, photographer, and dishwasher behind this little corner of the internet. Welcome to my kitchen!
How it all started
My keto journey didn't begin with a diet trend. It began with a turning point. A few years ago, I was tired all the time, struggling with my energy, and frustrated that nothing I tried seemed to stick. When I finally gave the ketogenic lifestyle a real chance, something clicked, not just on the scale, but in how I felt every single day. Clearer mind, steadier energy, and food that actually tasted good.
The catch? Most keto recipes I found back then were either complicated, bland, or called for ten ingredients I'd never heard of. So I started experimenting in my own kitchen, determined to prove that low-carb food could be comforting, crave-worthy, and simple enough for a busy weeknight.
This blog is where I share everything I've learned along the way.
What you'll find here
Every recipe on this site is created and tested in my own kitchen, with real-life cooking in mind. You can expect:
- Easy, approachable recipes with ingredients you can actually find at the grocery store
- Comfort-food favorites made keto-friendly, including pizza, bread, desserts, and more
- Clear nutrition info so you can fit each dish into your day
- Tips and tricks I've picked up from years of low-carb cooking (and plenty of kitchen flops)
My philosophy is simple: eating well shouldn't feel like a punishment. Food should bring you joy, fuel your body, and fit into a life you actually enjoy living.
A little more about me
When I'm not testing a new batch of fat bombs or rearranging a plate for the fifth time trying to get good light for a photo, you'll usually find me at the farmer's market on Saturday mornings, hunting for whatever vegetable is about to become dinner. I keep a running list of recipe ideas in my phone that's honestly a little out of control, and I've been known to text my sister a photo of a dish mid-recipe-test just to ask "does this look done to you?"
I share a kitchen with my husband and our very food-motivated golden retriever, Biscuit, who has perfected the art of sitting just close enough to the stove to remind me he exists. Most weekends involve some combination of cooking too much food, freezing half of it, and convincing myself that's actually the plan all along.
I believe the best conversations happen around a shared meal, and that a good recipe should feel like a friend handed it to you, not like homework.
Thanks so much for being here. Whether you're brand new to keto or a seasoned low-carb pro, I hope you find a recipe that becomes a staple in your home.
Let's cook something delicious together.
With love, Sarah
